Romanchita Choudhury from Assam dazzales with 2 National IAPT (Physics) Award in 38th Annual Convention of IAPT 2024, Kangra, Himachal Pradesh

Romanchita Choudhury, student of Pandu College, Dept. Physics, has been awarded the 1st prize in National Photo Essay Competition in Physics 2024 (NPECP-24) and the 2nd prize in National Competition of Essay Writing in Physics 2024 (NCEWP-24) by Padmashree Dr H.C. Verma, Dr Arvind (IISER, Mohali), Prof P.K. Ahluwalia (President of IAPT) and Dr O.S. Sastri (Chairman) in the 38th Annual Convention 2024 of IAPT, held in Kangra, Himachal Pradesh on 16th October 2024. She secured the first position in NPECP-24 with her entry “Supernova: The Grand Finale of a Dying Star” for the competition theme ‘Wonders of the universe’ and 2nd prize in NCEWP-24 with her essay “Music : The sound track of Physics” for the competition theme ‘Physics in music and musical instruments’. NPECP-24 was held on the occasion of National Science Day 2024, organised by Bajaj College of Science, Wardha, Maharashtra (Autonomous) and the Indian Association of Physics Teachers (IAPT) RC-08E (Vidarbha, Maharashtra) while NCEWP-24 was organised by Indian Association of Physics Teachers (IAPT) on 6th September 2024. Both her photo-essay and essay have been published in the IAPT magazine, website and youtube channel.
