Don’t take it as GRANTED
Don’t take it as "GRANTED"
1/
I am not for granted
I too expected some tenderness
Showing my fondness
Does not mean I am sick
Don’t take it as granted
2/
I can stay in unescorted
But our memories mingle in my vision
The good times we had
But those are now nightmare
Because you have forgotten to sleep
3/
Deep in my heart
I mistake dreams as reality
For you I am just nothing
I too seems ok for that
But still want to be your friend
4/
But don’t take that as granted
I am no more the coltish girl
So wake up from your day-dream
Steel for steel, diamond for diamond
This is my law now
5/
I will leave no stone unturned
To show how I feel for you
But don’t take that as granted
Coz I can throw the same stone
When you disregard me
6/
We all have changed with time
You are a maid now
That licks the shoe of fame and money
And I am two-faced
Amiable and self-protective.
By R Choudhury
A poem shows the betrayal of a friend . The author expresses how she takes friendship and how her friend takes friendship. She does everything for her friend. But her friend takes her friendship for granted. Her friend ignores and disrespects her. For her friend she is nothing. Her friend runs after money and fame, paying the back to her. But she is not an ordinary girl who accepts being ignored. She gives them threats and says that she is not afraid of being alone. She knows how to treat people. She is no more the slave of emotion , feeling and greed. She is not for granted.
